The house is small, but clean and cute. The full kitchen made it easy to cook at home during our stay. And the view is worth a $1M.
We'd come back to the island just for this place.”

"This place was the perfect size for the two of us. When requested, we were allowed to check in a little early. The whole place was very clean and had everything we could need. The best thing about this place was the view which was absolutely breathtaking. We would sit out on the deck and watch the sunrise in the morning while listening to the ocean waves crashing below. At night, we would sit out and stargaze - there were so many stars! The grounds were so beautiful. There is not air conditioning, but it was not needed since the breeze cooled the place off well enough and there were ceiling fans. It was only 15 minutes to town and close to nearby waterfalls and gardens. I would highly recommend this place."

"The four of us had a wonderful week at The Cliff House!
The accommodation was just as beautiful as in the pictures. A unique view and great location.
We loved having coffee on the porch every morning at sunrise and having a beer there at sunset.
The view and the sound of the sea all day long is incredibly relaxing.
The house and decor has Hawaiian charm, we loved it. Everything is very spacious and generous and everything was clean and tidy when we arrived.
When you open the door you can only marvel - the ocean view is just stunning.
The location is very private. You can drive into town within 20 minutes to Hilo, there are also small stores around the corner where you can buy the essentials.
We did a lot and got everywhere much better than from Kona side, where we stayed last year.
If we come to Hawaii again, we would always stay on the Hilo side!

“We really lucked out with perfect weather while we were here. Glorious sunrises every single morning from the lanai. Beautiful moon rises each night. The grounds were expansive and well kept. Very private. Whale shows every day off the cliffs. The sound of the surf lulling us to sleep each night. The house itself was very bright, comfortable and open. The outdoor shower was the absolute best each day. Only 20 minutes to town but just 5 mins away there’s a cute community with unique tacos, the best shave ice, and a bakery with some cool history plus a nice local gift shop. Definitely worth the price to stay here for the peace and solitude, not to mention the views and comfort (bed was perfect)
