Akatsuka Orchid Gardens is a family owned orchid business who brought their orchid knowledge from his family's orchid nursery in Japan. Located in the volcano area, it is home to over 500 blooming orchids. If you happen to be visiting between May and August, you might be able to see the garden’s prize $20,000 orchid who was awarded a first class certificate for size and symmetry by The American Orchid Society.
