A place like no other

The diversity of the Big Island is simply stunning. It is one of the most ecologically diverse places on earth where you can find climate zones such as a tropical monsoon and a desert just within an hour drive. It is the youngest of the eight major Hawaiian Islands and the 14,000-foot flanks of Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa are home to animal and plant species found nowhere else. You can find green forests, black lava fields, the ocean and rainforests. It has 4 out of the 5 major climate zones in the world and 8 out of 13 of the sub-zones. This alone makes this island more interesting than any other for us.

On the Big Island, Hawai'i, there are many enchanting places to see. It offers an array of natural wonders to explore with its vibrant culture and captivating landscapes. From the lush rainforests of the Hamakua Coast to the snow-capped Mauna Kea, the Big Island doesn’t disappoint. If you are adventurous, no problem. On the island, you can find, surfing, bird watching, scuba diving, zip-lining, horseback riding, snorkeling, botanical gardens, waterfalls, hikes, farmer’s markets, whale watching, farm tours, exploring active volcanoes and much more. Maybe you want to relax? You can soak up the sun and can pick from black, white to green sand beaches. Some of the best beaches in the world are here on this island.
